★★★★.5 (4.5) Character Overview/Rating: Helaine: Good lord did she develop over the course of the book and honestly, I am not mad about it. The back story on Hel but, what we do know is that she is running from her father who is obviously very powerful and searching for her for some odd reason. Within the book she starts out by working for the guardians of the city and of course catches the eye of Daddy Bastion. I honestly stan the whole vibe of Hel, she is obviously very lost and alone and the one time that she actually finds peace she learns that she has just been used most of the time.. This book and this character literally made me fall in love.
